For over 10 years Tom de Venny was fortunate to learn Taido directly from native Japanese; Uchida Sensei nana-dan (7th degree black belt) at Taido's United States Headquarters in Atlanta Georgia.

Mr. de Venny was one of the main instructors teaching at Taido's headquarters, a very large school that now has over 400 students. He taught children, teenagers, adults and seniors for over about 8 years there as an assistant instructor and as instructor.

In November 1996 Tom de Venny returned to his native Fort Lauderdale. April 1997 he opened Taido Fort Lauderdale, a certified branch school of United States Taido Association.
